Design visualization / WynntonWhy granite
Granite is formed with variations in mineral pattern, color, and movement. That individual character is paired with the strength needed for a hard-working kitchen.
Every surface carries its own pattern and mineral detail.
Granite handles normal kitchen heat well; trivets remain a sensible habit.
Properly installed granite stands up well to busy kitchens.
An honest maintenance step that helps resist moisture and staining.

The granite palette
Cabinets, flooring, light, and the amount of movement you want all shape the right selection. Popular choices include these five colors.
Gray, white, and charcoal mineral detail that brightens a kitchen without looking plain.
A nearly solid black surface that creates crisp contrast against light cabinets and patterned tile.
Dark green-black stone with subtle gold and green flecks, suited to wood cabinetry and deeper palettes.
Warm gray and cream variation that connects ivory cabinets, natural wood, and warm-toned flooring.
Golden-beige granite with brown, black, and cream movement for classic kitchens and warm wood.
Natural slabs vary. Sue reviews current availability and color movement with you before fabrication. See more room directions in the project gallery.
A clear starting point
Level 1 is an entry-tier slab grade made up of widely available colors and patterns. It is still genuine natural granite. The level describes pricing and availability, not whether the stone is real.
Higher or less common levels are priced during your measurement visit because slab availability changes.
Granite countertop cost
Level 1 granite starts at $35 per square foot installed. Smaller kitchen projects can start around $1,500 with a stainless steel sink included.

Total square footage and countertop layout.
Edge profile, sink, faucet, and cooktop cutouts.
Removal from about $100, plus any preparation the room needs.
Living with granite
Warm water and mild dish soap handle normal cleaning. Wipe colored or oily spills promptly.
Skip abrasive scrubbers and strongly acidic or harsh chemical cleaners.
If a water drop darkens the stone instead of beading, it may be time to reseal.
Measured to installed
Cabinets, walls, appliances, sink requirements, access, and removal needs are reviewed in person.
Compare color, natural variation, upkeep, and how the slab works with the rest of the room.
The same four-person crew Sue has worked with for 22 years prepares and completes the fit.
Granite or quartz?
Every slab is individually patterned and highly heat resistant. Periodic sealing is required.
Color is more predictable and routine maintenance is lower. Direct high heat should be avoided.
Neither is automatically better for every room. Explore quartz countertops in Columbus if consistent pattern and minimal upkeep matter most.

Granite questions
Level 1 granite starts at $35 per square foot installed, and smaller kitchens can start around $1,500 with a stainless steel sink included. Square footage, granite level, edges, cutouts, site preparation, and removal affect the final estimate.
Yes. Granite should be sealed periodically to reduce moisture absorption and staining. Frequency varies by stone and use, and resealing is a straightforward maintenance task rather than a daily requirement.
Popular choices include Luna Pearl, Absolute Black, Ubatuba, Valle Nevada, and Santa Cecilia. Sue can review current options and natural slab variation with you at the measurement visit.
